Job Description – Procurement Officer
Job Purpose
To support and coordinate EIH’s procurement activities, ensuring timely, transparent, compliant, and cost-effective procurement of goods and services in line with approved plans, policies, and procedures.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Assess and analyze procurement needs and prepare procurement plans.
- Categorize procurement requirements according to applicable procurement methods.
- Prepare RFQs, bid documents, ToRs, specifications, and other procurement documents.
- Obtain and evaluate quotations, bids, and proformas against approved requirements.
- Prepare bid comparisons, evaluation reports, and procurement recommendations.
- Coordinate with suppliers, negotiate terms, and manage vendor relationships.
- Monitor purchase orders, contracts, and delivery of goods and services.
- Ensure delivered items comply with approved specifications and contractual requirements.
- Maintain complete and accurate procurement records and documentation.
- Prepare weekly and periodic procurement activity reports.
- Ensure compliance with EIH procurement policies, procedures, and applicable government procurement requirements.
- Perform other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Requirements & Qualifications
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Management, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant procurement experience.
- Knowledge of and familiarity with government procurement procedures; experience in government procurement is an advantage.
- Experience in tendering, bid evaluation, supplier management, and contract administration is preferred.
