Eco-Consult is hiring one Strengthening of Rural Value Chains position in Addis Ababa. The senior role requires a master's degree and at least five years of experience. Applications close on 23 October 2026.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in a field related to the position.
• At least five years of professional experience in project monitoring and evaluation.
• Familiarity with relevant software for M&E, data management, remote data collection, analysis, visualisation, and digital document management.

Nice to have

• Experience in agricultural development, rural development, agricultural value chains or comparable projects would be an advantage.

Main responsibilities

• Work closely with the Team Leader and the federal and regional Project Implementation Units on project monitoring, evaluation and reporting.
• Prepare the M&E-related sections of the Project Implementation Manual and support the development of detailed monitoring guidelines.
• Support monitoring of project implementation, including quality and quantity checks and progress against outputs, indicators, work plans and budgets.
• Coordinate the integration and use of baseline information and support the regular updating of indicator values and the results matrix.
• Support monitoring of ecological and socio-economic impacts, including project effects on jobs and income opportunities in the project area.
