ABIG is hiring an accountant in Addis Ababa. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and at least three years of experience. Applications close on 22 October 2026.
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of applicable tax regulations and accounting standards.
Main responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledgers, journals, and supporting documents.
- Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Reconcile bank statements, cash balances, and other financial accounts regularly.
- Ensure accurate recording of all financial transactions in the accounting system.
- Maintain proper filing and documentation of financial records for audit purposes.
- Assist with internal and external audits by providing the required financial documents and explanations.
