About the Organization:

 

Vision Fund Micro Finance Institution (S.C) is an Institution established according to proclamation No. 40/96 to provide financial services to the productive poor in the rural and urban areas of Ethiopia. Vision Fund is currently operating in five of the Regional States of the country.

Vision Fund MFI is currently looking for candidates for Deposit Mobilization and Branch Operation Officer Role at North West Area Office. The successful candidates will have skills and experience that meet the following requirements:


1.    JOB SUMMARY

 

The purpose of Area Deposit Mobilization & Branch Operations Officer position is to plan, organize, coordinate and monitor the deposit mobilization and branch operations activities of the branches under the Area office.

           

2.    SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Ensures that all branches are equipped with the Company guidelines for deposit mobilization and branch operations.
  • Prepares period performance report with respect to deposit mobilization branch operations of branches under the supervision of the Area office.
  • Visits Branch offices and collects opinions and other relevant information from employees and  customers that can contribute to the development and growth of the overall operations of saving;
  • Compiles feedback of customer on the service delivery of Branches and forwards to the supervisors;
  • Assists in the co-ordination of inter-Branch operational activities;
  • Follows up that Branches deposit excess cash to bank and withdraw cash from bank for cash operations;
  • Ensures that customer service is provided and enhanced at all times;
  • Follows-up timely submission of monthly returns and periodic reports of Branches, identifies issues requiring rectifications and instructs branches for immediate settlement of long outstanding issues;
  • Attends complaints and inquiries of customers and follows-up to address the issues with the respective branches;
  • Prepares period reports of customer service satisfaction for the branch services.
  • Compiles feedback of customer on the service delivery of Branches and forwards to the supervisors;
  • Performs other tasks as may be instructed by the immediate supervisor.

 

Job Requirements

  • BA Degree in Banking and Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field.

 

B) EXPERIENCE:

§  A minimum of 4 years relevant work experience.

 

C) TECHNICAL AND OTHER SKILLS

§  Demonstrated technical and managerial ability, sound judgment, and ability to interact and work effectively with others at all levels,

§  Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills,

§  Good knowledge of operational performance; credit, saving, disbursement plan and repayment programs,

§  Ability to interpret, analyse and solve problems;

§  Ability to act in professional and ethical manner.

 

 

1.    WORKING CONDITIONS AND LEVEL OF TRAVEL REQUIRED

 

§  Office environment with extensive field works. Travels up to ……% of her/his time.
