JR Petroleum PLC is hiring two senior accountants in Addis Ababa. The position requires a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance and 5 to 7 years of experience. Applications close on 29 November 2026.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of financial and management accounting
- Good understanding of fuel/inventory accounting and reconciliation
- Strong knowledge of Ethiopian tax requirements and statutory reporting
Main responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and complete accounting records and ensure transactions are properly classified and supported
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports
- Review trial balance; prepare profit and loss statement, balance sheet and cash-flow reports
- Perform month-end and year-end closing activities
- Review journal entries, general ledger accounts and supporting schedules
- Ensure proper accruals, prepayments, provisions and depreciation entries
