Procurement Assistant

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is seeking to hire Procurement Assistant to support the implementation of SEEDS (Supporting Elections for Ethiopia’s Democratic Strengthening) activities. Under the overall guidance and direct supervision of the Project Manager and in close cooperation with the Country Office Operations /Programme Team, the incumbent will be responsible for managing the procurement requirements of the SEEDS project.

Contract type: Service Contract (SB3) – * Service Contract is a non-staff contractual modality.
Duration: 1 year

Qualification and experience: University Degree in Business or Public Administration or related discipline interested applicants must have a minimum of 2 years of relevant procurement and/or administrative experience in programme/project support services, procurement and/or administration; Knowledge of ATLAS system required. Experience in The usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.). Experience in handling of web-based management systems, ability to plan own work, setting priorities and completing it under pressure or when faced with competing demands; experience with election related project will be given preference; working experience with UNDP/any UN Agency is an asset.
