GeezJobs is recruiting an urgent logistics & import/export coordinator for a confidential employer in Addis Ababa. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, international trade, business administration, or a related field and at least two years of experience. Requirements
- 2+ years of relevant experience in logistics, import/export operations, customs clearance, freight forwarding, or related.
- Exposure to Letters of Credit and commercial bank follow-ups.
Nice to have
- Working knowledge of Ethiopian customs procedures, international shipping documentation, Incoterms, and trade compliance is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ERP experience is an advantage.
Main responsibilities
- Coordinate import shipments, including documentation, permits, customs clearance, and final delivery.
- Coordinate export shipment arrangements, documentation, freight bookings, and shipment tracking.
- Liaise with customs authorities, commercial banks, freight forwarders, shipping lines, suppliers, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Prepare and verify commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin, and other applicable trade documents.
- Follow up on Letters of Credit (LCs), foreign currency allocation, and related trade finance processes, as applicable.
- Monitor shipment schedules, resolve clearance and transportation issues, and support cost-effective logistics operations.
