Vacancy Announcement Position: Community Development Officer Key Roles and Responsibilities Under the direct supervision of the Project Team Leader and working closely with the implementing partners technical team at field level the CDF will be responsible to perform the following key duties: • Leads the Woreda level implementation of project activities of sustainable forest management including nursery management, biodiversity conservation, watershed management , rangeland management, business management and IPHE; • Assist the Senior Natural Resource Management Officer, Livestock and Range Land Expert, Senior Business Development Expert, Agronomist and Senior Forestry Expert to implement, monitor and evaluate the Project activities at grass roots community level; • Collect, organize, document and report vital data in line with MEL systems and formats of data collections • Ensure community and other stakeholders participation in the project planning and management; • Required number: 2 • Duty Station: Project Implementation Woredas (in Guji & Borena Zones) • Salary & Benefit: As per the SOS Sahel Ethiopia salary scale & benefit packages • Closing Date: July 1, 2022 How to Apply: • Interested applicants are invited to send their CV and other Credentials with cover letter in English, specifying position they applied for to one of the following address: SOS Sahel Ethiopia - P.O. • B.Sc. Degree in NRM / Watershed Management / Forestry / Rangeland Management / Rural Development / Agriculture and related fields with at least 5 years of relevant work experience; • Community mobilization and facilitation skill and also motorcycle riding skill and licence. • Knowledge of Afaan Oromo is mandatory |
