Job Description
We are a beverage start-up specializing in the alcohol beverage industry, seeking an experienced Accountant/Tax Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and tax preparation, with knowledge of the Ethiopian tax laws and regulations specific to the alcohol beverage industry.
About Job
You will be involved with preparing financial reports and statements, bank reconciliations, and conducting cyclical audits. Moreover, the candidate must have strong interpersonal skills and possess a strong business acumen.
Responsibilities
- Prepare tax documents
- Compile and analyze financial statements
- Manage budgeting and forecasting
- Manage all aspects of financial reporting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger for the alcohol beverage industry
- Prepare and file tax returns in accordance with Ethiopian tax laws and regulations for the alcohol beverage industry
- Assist with financial analysis and forecasting to support business decisions in the alcohol beverage industry
- Work closely with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance in the alcohol beverage industry
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records for the alcohol beverage industry
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- Ability to interpret and analyze financial statements and periodicals
- Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- 2 or more years of experience in accounting and tax preparation in the alcohol beverage industry
- Strong knowledge of Ethiopian tax laws and regulations for the alcohol beverage industry
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
