Job Description
· Process accounts and incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
· Payment applied to correct accounts receivable invoice.
· Perform day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts receivables’ data.
· Prepare bills, invoices and bank deposits.
· Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted, for and properly posted.
· Verify discrepancies by and resolve clients’ billing issues.
· Payment supporting documentation matches payment posted to accounts receivable.
· Review all contract signed, dated, and retained on file in accordance with Hyatt policy.
· Prepare All tax exemption adjustments are supported by a scanned copy of proof of tax exemption
· Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices and collection regulations
· Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
· Hands-on experience in operating spreadsheets and accounting software (iScala and opera) preferable.
· Proficiency in English and in MS Office.
· Customer service orientation and negotiation skills
· High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
Job Requirements
· Minimum of B.A. in Accounting or Financial Management or a related field.
· Minimum 2 years work experience as an Accounts Receivable in a brand hotel.
· Experience with accounting software (iScala and opera )
· Fluent in English and Amharic (writing, speaking, listening)
· Good customer service, communications and interpersonal skills are necessary.
