Desire Import Export is hiring five Mechanical Assembly Technicians in Addis Ababa. The role requires a bachelor’s degree and one to three years of experience. Applications close on 23 November 2026.

Requirements

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• Qualification in Automotive Mechanics or a related technical field.
• A relevant bachelor's degree with strong practical assembly skills may also apply.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant practical experience in mechanical assembly, automotive maintenance, or vehicle manufacturing.

Nice to have

• Experience assembling motorcycles, three-wheelers, automobiles, or similar machinery is an advantage.

Main responsibilities

• Assemble vehicle chassis and frame components.
• Install front and rear suspension systems, steering systems, and related mechanical components.
• Assemble and inspect braking systems.
• Install wheels, tires, and related components.
• Install electric motor mounting assemblies and mechanical drive components per manufacturer specifications.
• Assemble differential or transmission components, where applicable.
