Under the direct supervision of V.COO/Plant manager, Production and Technic Manager is responsible to control and perform the overall production and technic activities of Astu Injera Bakery PLC; he/she is also responsible to the Admin and Finance related issues.
ü Control and perform the overall production and technic activities as well as admin and finance issues of the company.
ü Request the required Teff before reaching minimum level of stock and receives the quality ones that meets and satisfies the quality standard.
ü Control Milling Process and Flour production and checks the Milling grinder stone time to time before dull.
ü Control the dough and cooked dough process including timely changing of water before the product sour
ü Monitor the Baking Injera quality against thickness, eye, sourness, weight, color and Kechkech (for immediate returns) by maximizing production.
ü Control and perform the Dirkosh Process and packaging to the best industry practice.
ü Comply Quality Control officer feedbacks and findings timely before things goes wrong.
ü Comply Regulatory body requirements per the standard before major findings happen and then rectifies timely for any findings written
ü Control all related manpower has and manages the Baking Supervisor, Dough & Flour Supervisor, Dirkosh and Packaging Supervisor, Shift Leader and Maintenance Technician.
ü Prepare Budgets and Plans timely and monitor implementation for rewarding or areas for improvement or punishment
ü Prepare different reports on daily, weekly, monthly and yearly as requested by higher management & delivers on time.
ü Assist on liaisons issues like ELPA, Water, Quality and Security with the Government officials, Clinics and regulatory bodies in different aspects of the company.
ü Organize and provide trainings to the employees time to time and motivate them through awareness and periodical briefing through meeting
ü Assist timely loading of products and satisfies customer need through feedback
ü Prepare Standard Operating Procedures, Checklists and implements GMP
ü Apply different cost reduction mechanisms and ways to boost production to make the company more profitable.
ü Announce, screen, interview and hire employees in coordination with Corporate HR to fill the open vacancy on timely basis in consultation with Plant Manager or V.COO.
ü Take administrative actions on defaulting employees per the company policy and procedures.
ü Evaluate the performance of employees directly reporting to him/her.
ü Perform any other duties as assigned by immediate superior or higher.
- BSC Degree in Food Technology and Process Engineering, Food Engineering, or other related fields and,
- A minimum of 4 years’ experience out of which at least 1 year as a supervisor or above positions
