Job Description
BACKGROUND
Our company will develop, in Ethiopia, an oilseeds clusters program to source from contracted out-growers (cluster of farmers, commercial farmers) and oilseeds grains integrators (traders/coops/…) large quantities various oilseeds (sesame, soybeans, sunflower, rapeseeds, groundnuts) to supply its Solvent Extraction Plants.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinating institutional donors, both domestically and internationally contributing to aid funds necessary to support the oilseeds cluster project – identification of donors & grants providers, grant writing, answer to request for proposal etc.- (particularly with SAMANU shareholders).
- Supporting the creation and operationalization of funding agreements with institutional funders – contract drafting, signature by all parties and distribution to all relevant parties-,
- Managing relationship with implementing partners, donor, and main financial institution partners and federal and regional level government stakeholders as requested, including information sharing, coordination and joint problem solving,
- Coordinating all donors’ funded activities including extension services and ESG,
- Compiling, developing and delivering on-time, high quality, reports to donor and key stakeholders as per required frequency; consulting with the donor and key project stakeholders regarding the report,
- Managing all inputs of external consultants providing services for oilseeds clusters including local coordination with team members, counterparty local institutions/partners, local travel logistics and reporting,
- Managing key relationships with GOE counterparts and other key project partners,
- Maintaining donor databases, donor profiles and KPIs to be met according to the funding agreement conditions,
- Facilitating with Admin Assistant donors, partners, and external donor sponsored guests visiting project.
EXPECTED RESULTS
- Number of funding/grants opportunities identified & candidated to per year. Number of donors reached out to per year.
- Funding/ grants -ETB and/or USD- successfully capted to finance the project.,
- Timely delivery of all quality outputs (reports, analysis etc.) as requested by donors as well as timely coordination of all donors funded activities (extension services/ESG),
- Timely support and delivery of all external consultant inputs and reporting,
- High quality relationships with all stakeholders (partners, donors & main financial institution partners etc.),
- Efficient organization of events and partners visits,
- Accuracy, quality and relevance of the report as per defined schedule,
- Regular update, as per schedule, of clear and accurate databases.
Job Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Experience:
-
8 years of experience of which at least 4 in the sector relevant to the JD.
Education
-
BSC/Msc degree IT Management / Software engineering and/or related engineering fields
- Proficiency in English, Amharic & Afan Oromo.
