Approximately 230 km of fiber infrastructure, including fault identification, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, restoration, emergency response, inspection and operational monitoring. |

Huawei Technologies – Field Maintenance Service |
Five Tigray clusters: Mekelle, Abala, Maichew–Alamata, Adigrat and Axum, covering field maintenance (active, passive and Optical fiber) and technical support across the respective service areas. |
These service engagements require technically competent, safety-conscious and field-oriented personnel who can respond quickly to faults, maintain accurate technical records, coordinate with clients and NOC/operations teams, and uphold Passion Technologies' standards for quality, safety, compliance and operational reliability.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of wireless radio systems, antennas, RRUs, baseband units and related active equipment.
- Troubleshoot microwave transmission equipment (ODU/IDU) and restore service efficiently.
- Monitor alarms, diagnose faults and coordinate restoration with NOC and field teams.
- Support equipment replacement, installation, commissioning and configuration verification.
- Perform active-equipment cabling and installation in accordance with technical standards.
- Prepare maintenance records, fault reports, technical documentation and service updates.
- Follow HSEQ procedures and site safety requirements at all times.
- Travel to assigned sites and respond to planned and emergency maintenance activities.
Requirements & Qualifications
Qualifications & Experience
- BSc degree or diploma in Telecommunications, Electronics, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum four (4) years of relevant experience in active telecom maintenance, troubleshooting or field engineering.
- Practical knowledge of radio equipment, antennas, RRUs, baseband units, microwave ODU/IDU, alarms and telecom cabling.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to travel and work under field conditions across Ethiopia.
- Safety-related certification and telecom site safety knowledge are preferred.
