Kerchanshe Trading Company is hiring one Animal Export Specialist in Adami Tulu with frequent travel to the Head Office in Addis Ababa. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in one of several fields related to logistics, trade, business or veterinary science and at least five years of experience. Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in livestock export, animal trading, livestock management, or international trade operations
- Knowledge of livestock export procedures and international trade regulations
- Understanding of animal health, welfare, quarantine, and veterinary inspection requirements
- Knowledge of export documentation, permits, certificates, and customs clearance procedures
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel and Word
Main responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage the end-to-end export process, including shipment planning, freight forwarding, transportation, and delivery
- Arrange and monitor freight bookings, shipment schedules, cargo collection, and dispatch activities
- Liaise with shipping lines, airlines, transport providers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and other logistics partners to ensure smooth operations
- Monitor shipment progress and proactively address delays, operational challenges, and delivery issues
Skills
- Good knowledge of manufacturing systems, ERP tools (SAP), and digital production platforms.
