Job Description

Began work in Ethiopia, 1999 in response to severe drought that happened in Ethiopia’s Somali region. Currently, providing assistance in ten different regions implementing emergency and development programs in health, water and sanitation, econom i c recovery and development (ERD), women’s protection and empowerment, education, child protection, and multi-sectoral emergency response.

Position Overview

T he Field Coordinator is in overall in charge of the day-to-day activities in the field site. They will supervise the day-to-day activities of various program and operational units /departments staff in their site. The Field Coordinator is responsible for ensuring cross departmental coordination and collaboration, that timely support is provided for effective program implementation, staff health, safety and security, effective representation of IRC in the operational area, compliance to IRC policies and procedures and accountability to clients and colleagues.
