World Vision Ethiopia is hiring a Health Officer in Tigray. The position requires a medical doctor and at least three to five years of experience. It is a contract role and applications close on 30 October 2026.
Requirements
- Medical doctor and related with minimum of three years relevant experience
- Certificate on EDks management, PHEM, MHPSS and IPC are an asset
- Frequent travel to the project sites and to NO as needed
Nice to have
- English and knowledge of local language is advantageous
- Provide comprehensive outpatient (OPD) and inpatient (IPD) medical consultations, including history taking, physical examination, diagnosis, treatment, and referral services
Main responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive outpatient (OPD) and inpatient (IPD) medical consultations, including history taking, physical examination, diagnosis, treatment, and referral services
- Manage acute, chronic, and life‑threatening illnesses according to national treatment protocols and clinical guidelines
- Support the provision of ANC, PNC, delivery, essential newborn care, family planning counseling, and contraceptive services
- Promote iron supplementation, TT vaccination, and other maternal health interventions
- Support routine and outreach immunization activities
