Job Description

1. Business Development

  • Plan, arrange and follow-up business meetings with prospective clients;
  • Identify and qualify assignments
  • Plan and oversee new marketing initiatives;
  • Communicate with existing clients regarding new developments in the firm;
  • Build and maintain long-lasting relationships with existing clients in various service lines;
  • Promote the firm’s services to new and potential clients;
  • Research organizations to identify new leads and new markets;
  • Plan, organize and attend networking events and government-led seminars to enhance the firm’s visibility;
  • Provide feedback and after-sales support during the life cycle of business consulting engagement;
  • Manage and execute events and other outreach campaigns in order to identify and engage targets in order to build the company’s brand within the marketplace;
  • Guide and support associates

2. Project/Assignment Management

  • Controls assignments in relation to timescales, budgets and risk management procedures;
  • Consistently achieves deadlines and understands the commercial implications of actions relating to productivity, recover ability, fee income and client service;
  • Accurately records time spent, documents reasons for overruns and agrees additional fees with the client;
  • Communicates workload with partner
  • Ensures achievement of billing targets and collection of outstanding fees
  • Handles client meetings along with the partner
  • Reviews all deliverable before submission to ensure adherence to quality standards
  • Reviews health check, due diligence reports, corporate structures and all advisory reports;
  • Evaluate the performance of associates for engagement and year-end reviews.
  • Assist and perform any other duties and responsibilities bestowed upon by the partner;

Job Requirements

Education:  Masters preferably in Business, Economics and Social Sciences

Experience:  5 to 7 years preferably in managing consulting activities

Behavioral Attribute:  Inquisitive, Commercial drive, Systems and Process thinking, Ability to view different components and determine new solutions

Personality:  Social, Networking, Team work, Patience, Compliance, Communication skills, Integrity and Responsible

Communication Attributes: Business writing skills, Report writing, Proposals, Terms of Reference, Microsoft Office suite etc

Knowledge Areas:  Human Resources, Sociology, Psychology, Statistics, Human Factors Engineering, Project Management

Special Skills:  Human Resource Management strategy and functions, Instructional Design, Job Evaluation, Survey design and administration, Learning and Development

Language:  Amharic, English other languages is a plus
