Melkam Endale Veterinary Drugs Wholesale is hiring an Animal Health Officer – Technical Sales & Product Support in Sululta Wereda, N/shewa, Oromia. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in Animal Health, Veterinary Medicine, or Veterinary Technology and up to two years of experience. Applications close on 23 November 2026.
Requirements
- Valid COC for licensing
- 0-2 years of experience in veterinary practice, farm health management, or technical sales within the veterinary pharmaceutical/agro-chemical wholesale sector
- Deep familiarity with veterinary pharmacology, disease etiology, vaccine management, and national drug regulations
Main responsibilities
- Serve as the resident technical expert on all wholesale veterinary pharmaceuticals, vaccines, biologicals, and nutritional products
- Advise retail agro-vets, farm veterinarians, and farm managers on proper drug selection, dosage calculation, administration routes, and treatment protocols
- Educate clients on critical pharmaceutical parameters, such as drug withdrawal periods, prevention of antimicrobial resistance (AMR), and cold-chain storage requirements
- Respond to client queries regarding drug efficacy, side effects, interactions, or off-label indications
- Partner with the commercial team to promote veterinary pharmaceutical ranges to existing and prospective B2B clients
- Conduct technical product presentations, launch events, and product demonstrations for prospective buyers
