Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Economics, Statistics, Business Administration, Sociology, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of direct experience in market research, insights, or business research.
- Experience with digital data collection tools such as KoboToolbox, ODK, SurveyCTO, Google Forms, or similar.
- Strong written and spoken English and Amharic.
- Proven experience designing and running both quantitative and qualitative studies from start to finish.
Nice to have
- Hands‑on skill in at least one statistical or analysis tool, such as SPSS, Stata, R, or Python, plus advanced Excel.
Main responsibilities
- Size and segment markets for Pitron's products (TAM/SAM/SOM), including banks, MFIs, SACCOs, SMEs, retail, and hospitality.
- Track Ethiopia's financial services and technology landscape, including NBE directives, digital payments, fintech licensing, and the entry of new players.
- Build and maintain competitor profiles covering product features, pricing, positioning, clients, and go‑to‑market moves for each business unit.
- Design and run quantitative studies, including surveys, questionnaire design, sampling plans, and data cleaning.
- Conduct qualitative research, including in‑depth interviews with B2B decision‑makers.
- Translate these changes into implications for Pitron.
