Company Profile:    Rorank Business S.C. is a joint venture with a UK base company called Castlford Holding Investment Groups. We manufacture and distribute our flagship brands, Super Eagle and Crystal are renowned for their great taste and quality. Our new leading edge manufacturing and bottling facility is located in Cha Cha - Debre Birhan.

PRIMARY PURPOSE   To develop portfolio strategies and lead the brand marketing team to create winning brand positionings, strategies and plans which deliver activations that beat the competition in the chosen market place.

Key Duties     

    Promotions :

  • Evaluate Competitive Position and plan to reduce competitor footprint
  • Use data to identify competitive situation relative to the company in terms of availability / pack size and price for competitors Leverages industry and competitor analysis to identify opportunities in terms of Rorank capabilities Intelligent,
  • ‘’where to play’’ choices made, based on analyses of above RSM feedback on competitor price / pack / NPD etc
  • Develop and communicate winning plans Develops and presents winning strategic plans
  • Communicates prioritized opportunities to the businessBuilds fresh and inspiring creative ideas
  • Engage with agencies to deliver great work that’s aligned to the brand and sales goals
  • Engage with internal stakeholders e.g., Sales managers to fully understand regional requirements and past success’s Include ideas and winning plans into the business brand plans 
  • Promotion calendar by brand and pack by quarter by region drawn up as per budget requirements 

 Trade Marketing:

  • POS Managed POS ideation with Sales Managers to ensure consistent message and clarity across all regions
  • Trade marketing plan by channel and segment developed POS plans by channel and segment as per
  • Trade marketing plans and roll out of POS by quarter‘’Look of success’’ by channel and segment with minimum POS / BTL standards POS / BTL tracker in place to measure and track receiving and delivery of all POS / BTL material procured into the Addis warehouse
  • Rorank Business Label Portfolio Label portfolio ‘’file’’ by brand and pack developed and shared with strategic business units e.g. Quality production Hard copy agency handbook on hand in Addis for consultation
  • Label ‘’file’’ update and sent to label printers Quality process for labels in place to ensure business correctness
  • Ensure project roll out format developed with strict timelines and accountabilities in place for all key role players
  • Ensure 3rd party process followed as per procurement guidelines when selection 3rd parties
  • Conduct the research on new product or service opportunities available to the company they represent.
  • Analyzing market trends and preparing forecasts.
  • Generating new business leads.
  • Maintain the company's social media presence
  • Ensure effective communications between the company and customers
  • Preparing and presenting reports to senior management.

DECISION-MAKING POWERS AND AUTHORITY The incumbent is expected to function within clearly established policies, procedures, and rules.  May make recommendations for approval by management.

Job Requirements

COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION:     

  • BA/MA in marketing, business, or related field.
  • 5 plus years’ experience in the Markating field of which at least 3 years should have been at management level. 
  • Previous experience in the Manufacturing Industry would be an advantage.

KEY COMPETENCIES 

  • Strong project management, multitasking, and decision-making skills.
  • Metrics-driven marketing mind with eye for creativity
  • Strong interpersonal skills.

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

  • Self-motivated and ability to work under pressure.
