Job summary:
The IT Sales Executive is responsible for generating new business opportunities, developing and maintaining client relationships, promoting the company’s products and services, and achieving assigned sales and revenue targets.
The position will focus on B2B sales of IT solutions including IT infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity, servers, data center solutions, software, cloud solutions, CCTV, digital display and collaboration solutions, and related IT services .
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new business opportunities and potential clients.
- Conduct market research to identify target industries, organizations, and decision-makers.
- Generate leads through direct visits, telephone calls, email, LinkedIn, networking, referrals, and industry events.
- Develop and maintain a healthy sales pipeline.
- Identify opportunities for new projects, upgrades, renewals, and additional services.
- Prepare sales plans and strategies to achieve assigned targets.
- Prepare quotations, proposals, and commercial offers in coordination with other departments.
- Lead, supervise, and motivate the presales and sales team to achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
- Coach and train sales representatives on our products and services, sales techniques, and customer handling.
- Monitor competitors, market trends, pricing, customer preferences, and developments in the Ethiopian IT Market.
- Follow up on quotations, proposals, purchase orders, and contracts.
- Manage the sales cycle from lead generation through closing.
- Identify relevant government, private-sector, and institutional procurement opportunities.
- Monitor tender announcements and procurement opportunities.
- Coordinate with the presales and technical teams for tender preparation.
- Support preparation and submission of bids, proposals, and supporting documents.
- Maintain records of submitted bids and follow up on tender results.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance reports for management.
Requirements & Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Sales, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering , or a related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in sales, business development, or account management.
- Experience in IT products, IT solutions,, cybersecurity, infrastructure, or technology services is highly preferred.
- Experience in B2B and institutional sales is an advantage.
