Requirements
- Valid swimming instructor certification
- Current First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain these qualifications
- Recognised swimming instruction, aquatics, or Physical Education qualification
- Excellent spoken and written English
Main responsibilities
- Deliver safe, engaging, and progressive swimming lessons to students across a range of ages and abilities
- Apply effective teaching pedagogy, including progressive lesson planning, modelling, differentiation, adaptive teaching, and assessment
- Develop students’ swimming proficiency and monitor their progress throughout the learning process
- Use appropriate teaching methods to build students’ water confidence, physical fitness, and swimming skills
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to child safeguarding and student wellbeing
- Ensure safe and effective pool supervision during swimming lessons
