Job Description
BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for repair and maintenance of all masonry surfaces such structures as walls, walkways, fences, roofing, floor, ceiling etc. in the hotel. Perform all repair and maintenance works on time and to an excellent quality that goes to the standard of the Hotel. Conduct regular inspections on all masonry surfaces to assess & report defects.
Job Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: In order to be considered for this position, applicants must possess the following minimum qualifications. Applicants without the below-listed qualifications need not apply as they will not be considered in the competitive pool.
EDUCATION: Diploma/certificate in masonry or building from a recognized technical school or college.
EXPERIENCE: Proven work experience as a Mason or similar role for a minimum of four years with reputable masonry works. Experience working with multifaceted professionals on a construction site is preferred.
LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY: C grade in English in Ethiopian School Leaving Certificate Examination (ESLCE) with good spoken language ability is required. Other International languages are advantageous.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Profound knowledge and familiarity with relevant tools, masonry techniques, and equipment
- Adequate skill and experience in the construction, alteration, repair, and maintenance of masonry structures and surfaces
- Good physical stamina and strength
- Good mathematical and problem-solving skills
- Dexterity and precision
