Requirements

• Valid swimming instructor certification
• Current First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain these qualifications
• Recognised swimming instruction, aquatics, or Physical Education qualification
• Excellent spoken and written English

Main responsibilities

• Deliver safe, engaging, and progressive swimming lessons to students across a range of ages and abilities
• Apply effective teaching pedagogy, including progressive lesson planning, modelling, differentiation, adaptive teaching, and assessment
• Develop students’ swimming proficiency and monitor their progress throughout the learning process
• Use appropriate teaching methods to build students’ water confidence, physical fitness, and swimming skills
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to child safeguarding and student wellbeing
• Ensure safe and effective pool supervision during swimming lessons
