Omedad PLC is hiring a Senior Accountant in Addis Ababa. The role requires a bachelor's degree in accounting and finance and 3 to 5 years of experience. Applications close on 10 November 2026.
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles
- Basic computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications
Nice to have
- Knowledge of QuickBooks
Main responsibilities
- Record daily financial transactions and maintain accurate accounting records
- Prepare payment vouchers, receipts, invoices, and other financial documents
- Assist in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations
- Support the preparation of financial statements and periodic reports
- Assist with VAT, withholding tax, and other applicable tax documentation
- Maintain proper filing and documentation of financial records
